Hi All,
I have issue with normalizing numbers coming from outlook vcards and showing in Lync 2013/skype for business clients.
So, in short...we are using only contacts from outlook to show numbers. Numbers from AD,GAL are not in AddressBook. Don't ask me way, it's a company policy.
CsClientPolicy is set to:
AddressBookAvailability: WebSearchOnly
EnableExchangeContactSync: False
We have mixed client environment with 2010 clients and 2013/Skype clients.
With 2010 clients everything is like expected. Number from outlook vcard in format +XX (XX) XXXXX-XX is shown is lync contact from drop down in same format +XX (XX) XXXXX-XX. When I click to call that number, I can see it's normalized in E.164 +XXXXXXXXXXXX which is expected.
With 2013/Skype client, number from outlook vcard in format +XX (XX) XXXXX-XX is already normalized in drop down menu or "Call" menu +XXXXXXXXXXXX. This is not ok, as we would like to see same behavior like in 2010 client. Calls are processed normally without issues...it is only "look and feel" kinda thing.
Is there a way to control this, or we just have to accept like it is....
