I am working on a project deploying Lync Server Edge Servers. We have 2 edge servers and using HLB for load balancing. Following the TechNet article : we would need 9 public IP address (please confirm if this is correct as well). Now buying these many public IP addresses has become as issue here ans the customer dont want to use single IP for all 3 edge services on different ports.
Since we are using F5 as a load balancer and also it can use UDP, can anybody confirm if we can use UDP for A/V edge service and can reduce the number of IP addresses.
I am absolutely not sure even if the above thing is possible or not, so I believe what I have written is not wrong.
Your response alongwith some artifact/blogs will be highly appreciated.
